Five RECOVER study sites across the Pacific Northwest teamed up to form a consortium. Consortium members learn from other RECOVER researchers’ findings and share knowledge with the community.
During the July 26th RECOVER Research Review (R3) Seminar, researchers presented on sex-specific differences in how people experience COVID-19 and PASC. Presenters discussed the impact of COVID-19 on gynecologic health, male infertility, hormones, sexual dysfunction, and the placenta.
During the July 12th RECOVER Research Review (R3) Seminar, researchers presented on metabolism and gastrointestinal function in PASC. The seminar explored what is known about this topic, the gaps in our knowledge, and how RECOVER will contribute to filling these gaps.
During the June 28th RECOVER Research Review (R3) Seminar, researchers presented cardiopulmonary functions in PASC. Presenters explored what is known about cardiac function in PASC patients, the gaps in our knowledge, and how RECOVER will contribute to filling these knowledge gaps.
During the June 14th RECOVER Research Review (R3) Seminar, researchers presented on the clinical spectrum of PASC with a focus on neurocognitive function. Presenters discussed the current understanding of neurocognitive function in PASC patients, the gaps in our knowledge, and how RECOVER will contribute to filling these knowledge gaps.
During the May 24th RECOVER Research Review (R3) Seminar, researchers presented on using electronic health records and real-world data to understand PASC. Presenters discussed how this data can be used to improve diagnosis and treatment of PASC.
During the May 10th RECOVER Research Review (R3) Seminar, researchers presented dysautonomia and its connection to PASC, including diagnosis, treatment and recent research findings. Presenters discussed what is known about dysautonomia and POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), treatment strategies, and how PASC can cause dysautonomia.
